Guest guest
I wanted to tell everyone that I went into my gyno doctor last week. He was not happy with the 40 pounds I have put on. He was very worried about my CMT and the weight gain. He asked me why I had gained so much weight considering I was 4 1/2 months pregnant and 114 pounds when he first met me. I told him I really didn't know why but that I was on Synthroid and Celexa. I had started gaining weight on Paxil so I was changed to Celexa. He was pretty upset that any doctor would put someone with CMT on a drug that is known to cause weight gain. He changed me to Wellburtrin XL. (Wellburtrin does not have a weight gaining side effect.) He also prescribed an appetite suppressant for me to take for a few months. He wanted me to get this weight off as soon as possible for my feet. So if any of you have had weight gain on an antidepressant I suggest you google weight gain and the name of your antidepressant and talk to your doctor. I have lost 7 pounds and feel so much better. 28 pounds to go before I am at my goal of 130 pounds.
