Guest guest
Finally got some results (OAT and poo) back and discussed with Jean. So many classic indicators many others have seen: zero bifidobacteria, signs of high clostridia, 3 parasites etc. Of course, according to NHS paed the only problem is constipation CAUSED by his autism. I'm thinking of making a formal complaint about the paed. After 3 or 4 years of refusal and delay she agreed on 19th March to refer H to the hospital re bowel issues. I chased a few times, finally told her I was contacting the Consultant's secretary. The referral arrived yesterday. It took 7 weeks 4 days from the date of her saying she would refer. The waiting list is 13 weeks from the date the referral is processed (hasn't happened yet). This same paed took many months not replying to GP's request for her views on a referral to Dr Tettenbourn, and most seriously of all about 6 months to write an emergency protocol letter re H's epilepsy that the school would accept. Until they had the letter they said they'd give no medication in the event of a seizure. She's highly-paid and part of her job is to write letters.
