Guest guest
I only take 1 tbsp per day total (or 2 tbsp of ground seeds). I have done the 1 tbsp per 50 lbs of body weight and didn't see any additional benfits to glugging multiple tbsp of oil. It was just more expensive and kinda gross. As far as when to take it, just don't take it within an hour or so of taking creatine. Any other time of day is fine. > (or anyone else who may help), > How many Tbls., and when, during the day, should I take my > Barlean's Flax Oil? Guest guest
That's close. I've always heard 1 Tbls per 45 lbs. Here's a link to Udo's site that has a lot of information about EFA's. I actually bought his book, but you can get a lot from the website articles. http://udoerasmus.com/writings.htm Deanna Skwigg -- How much Barleans? (or anyone else who may help), How many Tbls., and when, during the day, should I take my Barlean's Flax Oil? I've heard it's 1 Tbls per 50 Lbs of body weight. Is that right? THANKS!!! Guest guest
Udo recommends that you check your elbows for dryness since they tend to be a dry part on most people. Soft (not dry) elbows is a good indicator that you are getting enough oil and or EFA's. Also, if you are taking flax seed oil, you are getting Omega-3's. If you take this for long enough, it can cause a deficiency in Omega-6's so its a good idea to rotate between flax and a blended oil that is more balanced like Udo's. However, our diet is mostly deficient in Omega-3's. Deanna Re: Skwigg -- How much Barleans? I only take 1 tbsp per day total (or 2 tbsp of ground seeds).
