Guest guest
I'm here!!! Hi, my name is . I join this group about a month ago. I started my challenge in October but unfortunately had a tragedy/traumatic event stopped be in my tracks back in November. I've been doing my workouts, though not on a consistant basis (maybe 3 x's a week vs 6) and I'm struggling with the 6 meals a day. So I'm off to the grocery store, so I can stock up on what I'll need for the next 2 weeks. Reading these messages has helped me to not lose hope and to keep trying even when I fail. > wrote: > > Just checking to see who's out there. Any oldtimers? Lurking newbies? Guest guest
I've been a lurker for years and I've learned so much. I guess I should share some things that have helped me. I work at a gym and it's easy to see what other people do wrong but we go into denial about what we might be doing wrong. I've learned that my portions are too large and I need convenience because I am too busy to cook. I've been cooking and freezing correct portions of food so I can just take a protein and a vegetable out of the freezer and microwave it and it is instant meals (those little glad baby containers hold about 1 cup and are great!) I also found a protein powder called " Greens & Whey " made by Biochem which I really like and I've been stirring it into yogurt for a quick meal. I really prefer eating real foods and cutting out the chemicals when possible. That's been a challenge too! I think when the food is right, you feel better, perform better and see faster results. Thanks for all the great encouragement and knowledge! 2007 is going to be the year it all comes together! Guest guest
Here! Hubby and I are excited to have just started a six week challenge. It's BFL eating but more workouts since we enjoy it too much. I will prob do 4 weight sessions a week and 30 minutes of cardio every day. I still want to look into krav maga as well, but it's hard to do the classes without a sitter. Hubby does weights 5 times per week and needs to work on the cardio. I cannot wait to shed the holiday carb bloat. I am already down 2 pounds. Our trainer measured us both on Wednesday. Let's just say it was very motivating. :-(( Eating clean is a refreshing change. I have to get to the grocery store tonight and we will be all set! and I LOVE Oprah too!!! Tara K
