Fact is .. a smart move it would be and one that not only saves by buying in

larger volume but also saves on shipping cost because costs decrease as

gross weight increases. It is quite common for folks to do this but to

make it happen there must be one Point of Contact (POC) for that country and

buyers there must trust that POC because they generally must pay something

in advance to order.

Since 1995, I have acquired customers in 88 countries outside the U.S.A.

Active Aromatherapy News Groups exist in at least a dozen of those countries

and I routinely get consolidated orders from those News Groups .. Taiwan is

the most active .. sometimes I receive orders from there for 100 plus line

items .. maybe one oil in a dozen different bottles, etc., but there are

others and they are wisely working together. Reminds me of way back when I

was in the Attaché business in Turkey .. afore we had a well-stocked

commissary .. orders for Pork N Beans and Bacon and such were by case

lots so we all got together to place our orders.

In some countries (reading between the lines) I assume there are no News

Groups .. because orders are always from individuals. In those countries I

have often written to all my buyers there (using hidden courtesy copies so

they don't see the other addresses) and suggested they consider consolidated

purchases .. plus asked who would like to take on the role as POC .. and ..

would the other buyers permit their addresses to be provided to that POC.

Sometimes it works .. sometimes it doesn't .. but nothing ventured means

nothing gained.

I would recommend other sellers consider doing this .. and if there are any

members here who would like to step forward as a POC for their country ..

and give permission for their name & e-mail address to be made available to

buyers in their country .. I'll whip up a post to buyers in your country and

give them a chance to jump on the bandwagon.

Francesca .. I read this as you having volunteered to be POC for Down

Under .. but to me that generally refers to Australia and less frequently to

New Zealand .. but we can talk off line about that and it might work out

well .. or perhaps someone from Oz would also like to step forward as a

POC. I like to see my role as being a coordinator for coordinators. ;-)

Ideally all actions should involve and consider Power To The People .. and

United We Stand, Divided We Fall. The first quote is perhaps a

tad idealistic but the second one can be a reality (sometimes) in elections

... and most of the time for consolidated orders. ;-)

Those of you who ordered last night .. thanking you I am and I will be

process your orders today. Though some new buyers from this group have

come forward .. most of the orders are from folks who purchased Rose Otto

last year. Return orders from satisfied customers make my day. :-)
