Just say NO to denial....take the backside shot.

Just do it! Like ripping off a bandaide on a really

hairy sensitive spot. You'll be glad you have it

4 or more weeks down the road when you take

another. ....BTW, I feel your pain. I hate looking

at that backside picture!!

Challenge online

I entered the challenge online, but don't have the " behind " picture, just

the front. Is it absolutely required to have a backside shot?

It's not that I'm afraid of it - I don't want to ask my husband to have to take

it, and there's no timer on my digital camera! Isn't that horrible? LOL

I So KNOW where you are coming from. I had a choice of my husband

or my 13 year old daughter taking it. Talk about humiliation! BUT, pain

and humiliation are great motivators. People are creatures of habit.

We never really change until it becomes too painful not to change.

In other words, most likely, you are not going to get out of your comfort

zone until it becomes uncomfortable. Then you create a different

comfort zone. Does that make any sense??

A lot of people on T-Nation take thier backside pics in the mirror. Just

turn off the flash, make sure the room is brightly lit, hold it over your

shoulder, and take a picture of your reflection in the mirror.

But that backside pic doesn't lie! Yeesh! I printed mine out and put it,

along with a " Fit Stefanie " picture, on the mirror in my bedroom.

This makes more sense than any philiosophical statement that i've

heard in awhile. I'm trying to get out of my job into my own

business, and that's exactly what i must be doing - it has become

too painful not to change. The stress of my job, and the 75 min

commute each way is damaging my life - i want that time back and the

less stress so that i can nuture my body and my health. I've just

asked for 12 months leave without pay, and i'm nervously waiting for

an answering, trying to convince myself that if i don't get the

leave, i can just resign.

i'm also so worried about my husband's weight problem and i'm sure

that if i free up my time in the morning to go to the gym he will

come along with me - he just hates going to the gym alone, and while

i'm happy working out at home he prefers to use the cardio machines

and gym weights. He just thinks that if i quit my job and the

business doesn't work as planned we'll be stuck, by i'm desparately

trying to convince him that i'm very employable regardless. It's so

hard to make that jump out of a comfort zone, but if we continue

this way one of us will run into serious health problems and staying

in this job DEFINITELY won't be worth that!

Sounds just like an Robbins speech... lol. Gotta love Tony.

His " Get the Body You Deserve " set is proving to be an interesting

listen. I'm enjoying it. He uses the " make it painful to NOT change "

concept a lot.

That's exactly what it is. I listened to his CD series

Personal Power 2 at the beginning of my first challenge.

I was amazed at how simple some of the principles

are yet so profound. I loved it and it helped me

so much. I would like to get my hands on a copy

of it again. I could use a refresher for sure!
