No, I never heard of a child recovered on IV chelation, but hear lots of talk about improvement. How long have they been doing IV's with kids? I do know I started hearing things about IV's about 1.5 years ago? If that's true then there should be some kids who are very, very close.

Some of these people have been doing it nearly 2 years now, always makes me think of Charlie Hoover's Lennie, 38 rounds of DMSA and wow, the most recovered kid I have ever seen in video that had Dx of Autism not a lesser one.

If IV's are supposed to be quicker and more effective they should be lining them up by now IMHO (opinionated - moi? ROFL)

Do they say IV is quicker or intimate that it is? It doesn't appear quicker but it does appear a whole lot more convenient. Beats getting up in the middle of the night every weekend as we did for more rounds than I care to remember if I could forget about some of the horror stories I have heard about IV's but I can't.

I don't know Charlie Hoover's story, he must have left before I got here.

Thinking that the lure of IV's is mainly reported effectiveness that came out of the Dan! think tank. That is they rated efficacy of the routes of administration of the chelators in this order; IV's, suppositories, oral, td's.

I have talked to a dozen or so parents and grandparents whose children have regressed horribly on the IV's including two very scientifically minded parents. Current thinking, just reporting, is that it is the CBS upregulation that causes kids to regress on IV's, not the IV's themselves.

How do you explain that CBS - Cystathion Beta Synthase Upregulation causes regression ?And how would Chelation cause CBS puregulation ??Would that also be an issue in other regression situations not related to Chelations ??

I did say I was just reporting this as I really have no idea how one could cause the other although I'll take a stab at it. Thinking they mean the CBS upregulation makes it probable that the child will have trouble with sulfur chelators.

This was just an explanation offered as a reason that somebody's child had regressed on IV. Again, just explaining this second hand.
