Guest guest
Has he been screened for Cystic fibrosis ?? Have you tried NAC - N-acetylcystein. Geir Flatabø 2007/4/17, Scorer : Hi listmates,Anyone had experiences good or bad with Mucostop (Enzymedica). Justread a little about it and was wondering if this would help ds with an everlasting problem of phlegm/mucous which he is unable to shift as hedoes not cough it up but instead swallows it (ummm yum yum!!!)Seriously, we have been on antibiotics, garlic, OoO, organic coconutoil, and herbs. The staphy aureas pus spots have almost disappeared now but the mucous is lingering on and upsets his seizure control.Any info on it and where to purchase would be gratefully appreciated :)emily xDISCLAIMERNo information contained in this post is to be construed as medical advice. Guest guest
emily, If you are in the UK your son may have been screened for cystic fibrosis using the heel prick blood spot taken as standard procedure from all newborns in the UK. CS is the UK's commonest genetic disorder: an estimated 1 in 25 of the British population has the gene and it emerges in (I think ) 1 in 2,500 births (two copies of the gene needed to get the disease).
