Guest guest
I screwed up and deleted the information that I had about other brands of New Balance shoes. I remember the 1122's, but Beckingham had suggested another. Could you please repost this? Dave --------------------------------- New Messenger with Voice. Guest guest
Chris: The NB last with the boxiest profile is SL-2. I find these shoes allow stretch in both width and arch hight. They fit my AFO and my EEEEE width, high arch feet. On the NB website one can search for shoes by last. --Larry

Guest guest
Geri, While I wore a cam boot on my left foot (for about a year) I had an NB shoe sole built up to make my gait more balanced. I'm fortunate to have a neighborhood cobbler to do that sort of work. It cost me about $20.00 to have it done. After foot surgery, I got a pair of PW Minor boots that had a tread style that wore smooth almost immediately. I had waffle stomper treads put on and now shoes that used to scream 'special shoes' border on hip and stylish. O
Guest guest
That is size one and a half shoe not 11 and 1/2. Geri

Guest guest
I know what you mean about the New Balance. They feel " heavy " on my feet too. I bought generic Athletic Works sneakers $14.95 and they feel so much better! Dawn
Guest guest
Hi all! Just a short note that for the past few years I have been wearing sneakers from New Balance with the SL-2 last. This last is for narrow heel, high arch, wide front and has a high front of the shoe that gives room for hammer toes. Here is the model I wear: www.nbwebexpress.com/newbalanceMW926BK.htm This model has a roll bar that helps keep your foot from rolling over when you step on a pebble! They also have a curve up of the sole near the toes that helps with the foot drop. They have similar models for women. These shoes work VERY well for me! Also I just stated using SPENCO Orthotic Arch Support Insoles #44-042 they give me even better roll control. www.spenco.com/product/501-arch-supports-fullnbsplength Trust you all are enjoying summer! Guest guest
, I wear them too. Women's model 854 now updated to 855. Just purchased a pair on summer closeout. I change shoes alot and these take me all over, from the bike to hike, to the gym, errands, you name it. http://www.nbwebexpress.com/newbalanceWX854WB.htm Gretchen

Guest guest
Ty, I have 854's and 855's, a pair of 621's and a pair of 926's. Also a pair of trail runners, can't remember the # though. All comfortable. http://www.nbwebexpress.com Check our messages archives as many have posted about this before. Gretchen

Guest guest
I wear 854's and 621's. However, because my left foot has a tendency to roll., I take the left shoe to the cobbler (shoe repair guy) and have him put an extra sole on the left side of the existing sole and taper it to the middle, creating a wedge. This has worked for a couple years now. defman
Guest guest
Ty, I like new balance too. They will work with metal braces and plastic ones. All new balance shoes have removable insoles, which is important in wearing plastic AFOs. I have 991's and really like them. I have had other styles too and they have all worked well. I have 991's for both my metal braces, with channels, and for my plastic AFOs. Try them I bet you will like them. Bob
Guest guest
I've worn New Balance sneakers for quite a while. My left foot rolls quite a bit, and the right is starting. I have a build out and a wedge on the sole. I switched to the New Balance " RollBar " because the in and outside edges are stiffer to help keep the foot from rolling. Guest guest
Ty, I've found that when I'm not wearing my AFOs, New Balance tennis shoes <http://www.midwestsports.com/new-balance-803-tennis-shoe/p/MC803W-4E/> work best, and when I'm wearing AFOs, I wear New Balance cross trainers <https://newbalanceharrisburg.com/cross_training_c292.htm?gclid=CPaq4IuP\ 45QCFQKcFQod_XiGRw> . If I wear the cross trainers without the AFOs, my ankles give out. Jeff
Guest guest
I wear New Balance for 5 years , They are great but I cannot get lasses long enough because my feel are swollen and they are too short. Barb
Guest guest
I use New Balance shoes as well, for about 5 years now. I used the 924s and now the 926s. They are firm and prevent pronating. I like the wider size as well for stability.
