Guest guest
Hi, my daughter started having seizures about two weeks ago. We've been sent home from casualty and seen a paediatric neurologist who gave her indigestion mixture and told to " wait " for an EEG. I've stopped giving her Evening Primrose Oil which is supposed to lower the seizure threshold. I've ordered some GABA and taurine which are supposed to be inhibitory neurotransmitters in the brain. Does anyone have any other ideas. They are not drop down unconscious seizures but they are whole body involuntary writhing and face pulling for about a minute == she's having several dozen like that a day. She's developed a little cold sore line on her top lip. No other symptoms of a cold. I take that to be a sign of Herpes Simplex. Herpes in the brain is so devastating that I don't think she could have that. It progresses (rapidly) to unconsciousness and death. That hasn't happened and it's had two weeks to do it. It occurred to me today that Virastop might be helpful if she has some sort of problematic viral infection. Is that right and (if it is) where would I get it from? Thanks Sally
