RE: 'Safe' life of citrus oils?/nitrogen bottle fill?

What do you consider to be the 'life' of citrus esssential oils and in

particular, lemon oil? If, as I suspect, the answer will be something like

6 - 8 months, how do we determine how old an oil is when we buy it?

I would also be interested to the answer to this question, due to the fact

that I have citrus oils that are several years old and appear to be still

going strong. Does this mean that they're possibly adulterated?

I wonder about the filling the bottle with nitrogen that was mentioned years

back as a way to preserve the EO.
