I have used tofu. I use the silken low-fat tofu. I have had some bad

experiences with it and some good. The bad were when I used too much and

also used a banana--my shakes ended up so thick that I practically gagged on

it. It takes some experimenting to get it right.

I am also large-chested. I like the Lily of France sports bras. They have

some that have underwire. I know that many nursing moms avoid underwire but

when I was nursing they didn't cause problems. I find these bras to be very

supportive. I got them at Kohls for under $30. It's the " In Action " bras:

Good luck!

No, I've never tried that brand, but here's my favorite everyday bra

that has enough support for exercising:

http://www.biggerbras.com/exquisite-form-fully-bras/exquisite-form-fully-cotton-\

lace-bra-535-exq-535.shtml

Don't know how big you are, but it goes up to 46DD. I'm a 34C, so I

can't really tell how it would be in the larger sizes. They sell these

at Sears and Mervyns, but they're cheaper and have a better size

selection on this website.

Here¹s where I get my sports bras.

http://tinyurl.com/yacmay

They¹re very helpful if you call them. I¹ve been getting stuff from them

for years. They¹re helpful, non-judgmental and when it¹s all said and done,

they¹ll wish you luck on your journey.

WalMart sells a great cotton sports bra. Sizes go into the double D's

and they are mostly cotton. The underwiring is on the outside of the

bra. I've been wearing them for a few years and haven't found anything

else better. They're under 20 bucks and you can't beat that. Brand

name is BestForm.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the helpful suggestions on sports

bras...now I've got plenty to try on and I know I won't be wasting my

time.

Tried a protein shake today with tofu rather than powder....I liked

it!!

frozen banana, small handful frozen berries, 1/4 block of tofu, fiber

powder, splenda, small amt of skim milk.

I also took a " power walk " for 30 mins in the snow...we have 13 inches

here in MO. Won't do it again, I fell down and went boom.

I have had a wicked headache today, probably because of lack of sugar.

But, I haven't been pushing the H2O like I should. I set out a big

lidded jug on the kitchen counter that I will fill in the am, 60 oz,

with the goal of drinking it all.

Tomorrow, treadmill and weightlifting DVD.

Motivated!

Be careful in that snow and ice!!

Where in the MO state are you located? I'm over on the IL side but not

too terribly far from STL. Fortunately I lucked out and the storm went

just north of us. I'm feeling bad for all the folks without power from

it though.

In my opinion, you absolutely can't find a more comfortable yet very supportive

bra than the Champion Double Dry Distance Underwire Bra. It sells for $39 and

right now, their web site has free shipping.

So comfortable and reasonably priced. The cups are nice and roomie the bra fits

well across the back, LOTS of quality fabric, and I can run in this one! I am a

36 D (with implants) so I want my girls well supported for high impact

activities.

What is the name of your weightlifting DVD?

Good luck!

Hi, I'm a new member and just starting the BFL program. I have a

great weightlifting DVD that I will use, a dog that loves to go on

walks and a treadmill for rainy/snowy days. As far as aerobic

exercise goes, I only feel comfortable doing a fast walk. I find it

very uncomfortable to jog. I am still nursing my 9 month old and I

need a good support bra. A trainer friend recommended underarmour

brand (about$40) all the other sports bras I read about are $70 and

up. (Too much) So, my question, has anyone used underarmour brand,

or recommend a great support bra for large chested women that won't

break the bank, like $50 and under?

Also, a nutrition question...has anyone used tofu as a good source

of protein? I can't stand the taste of protein shakes and I heard

some advice to use tofu in the shake instead of protein powder.

Advantages: it's tasteless, high in protein, and lower in calories.

I am open for any advice, especially on ways to keep motivated.

Right now, my main goal (and a difficult one for me) is to make

exercise a daily habit.

Help would be appreciated, thanks,

I live in a small city, Warrensburg, which is about one hours drive SE

of KC. I have a horse ranch outside city limits, so I guess you could

say I live in the " sticks " . I'm going to KC on Weds to go Christmas

shopping, (and sports bra shopping)

The snow is melting..very slowly..now I'm down to about 4inches.

I'm on the IL side of the river. Its about an hour drive (w/o snow and

ice) for me to St. Louis. I also live out in the " sticks " on a family

farm. Good luck on finding a sports bra you like. It make take a lot

of trying on before you find one that can survive the " jump up and

down and not get a black eye " test - but I'm sure you'll manage!

We live in the IL side too, near Belleville. :)

I actually found Target to have awesome zip front Sports bras, but I am

somewhat petite (C cup) I am not sure if they have a great range of sizes. But

if you can find the size you need, they are SOOOOOO comfy!!

If you live on the east side of belleville (anywhere near the college

or the fountain) then you live 45 minutes from me (Carlyle). That

means your about an hour and ten minutes from the other girl who lives

in Salem, IL.

Being in Belleville, are you using a local gym or working out at home?

If your using a gym, which one and how do you like it?
