Guest guest
Donna, Myfamily also came from Prussia/Germany in the 1780's period. No, I don't think we are related, sorry. But I do relate to your being over weight. I'm 462 pounds, and have much difficulty to walking...you know, the foot thing. But I too enjoy eating. I think it is because we are home all the time and don't choose to do much else. I found out my wife enjoying eatting too, when she is depressed. Feb. has been a very depressing month. Our van has broke down twice, [2 x's], to the tune of over $600.00 each time in repairs. It caused her great consternation. She is the only driving person in our family, my Crow boot doesn't allow me to drove. We got past this problem, but it has left its strain upon my sweetheart. My sweety is on a structured diet program...weight watchers. She gained 4 pounds this last week, and that has made her depressed again. We decided she needs to learn how to deal more effectively with stresses. I have heard it said that eating is a comfort to depressed people. Do you think all CMT'S are depressed, or maybe its us 'fatties' are depressed because we can't get around like we used to be able to, so we eat. Hey, my thinking on this is...we all will die of something, why not got in a pleasant way? My friends will remember me because it will take a tow truck to handle my casket. Also, I think if we refleck too much on our health problems, we will become depressed more. I liked your comment, " maybe I have too much time on my hands " . That also applies to me. One thing I am doing is learning to paint, using the computer's paint program. Its really air brushing, but its really cool. Oh sure they're are lots of things you can't do, but with a little imagination, I've created my own screen saver and I can add to it, as I feel like it. I can make changes and save them. I wish I could blend colors together, but I don't know how to, as yet. I will keep practicing. My current project is a small lake with a log cabin not far from it, the lake has fish and ducks in it, also rock outcroppings. I have a fishing pole braced under a log bench, and there is a fish on its line. Next to the log cabin I have an outhouse, with a 'c' in the door. Behind the house I have a large vegetable garden, with many plants growing. I had such a garden when I was young. I also have a tool shed place next to my drawing well. Thats a well where one goes to draw water from. Next to the tool shed, leans a wheel barrow. Off the side of my logcabin is a lean to, where I store my wood cords of winter wood. I plan to have a smoking shed where I can smoke my meats, for longer storage. To me, I view this as a beautiful scene, as it is something I would love to have...if I were whole, again. Maybe in heaven. Donna, don't be bored, use you computer to travel the world, its free! You can plan your trip by looking at maps of where you want to go, use maps.google.com/ .. They have the ability to drag the map all over the place, in the USA. They also see the streets in map fashion and then see it from satile view. I have email friends who send me links from there countries of the good touring spots. I've seen alot of Taiwan, China, Japan, Qatar, Iraq, Iran, etc. And you can take a cruise on a ship. Ooops, sorry, my seat is tiring, I 've got to move to my chair, time to watch TV and take my pills and sleep. I enjoy your comments, you seem to know alot about CMT, I for one don't know very much.
