What's going on in your neck of the woods and what's inspiring you?

Hi all -

It's been raining like crazy, something like 6 inches in the month of May. The

humidity has shot up as well. I have to walk the dogs early and am remembering

how sweaty I get with the summer here!

If you remember, I was working on a magnolia doppleganger and I thought I had it

pretty well down during the cooler, drier weather. Well, I went out mid-day a

couple of days ago to smell the magnolia and it had such a different, almost

narcotic, sleepy southern summer day smell!

What's happening where you all are? Is there anything inspiring you? I will be

going to Utah next week and will enjoy the cooler weather, the smell of the

scrub oaks and maybe some fresh sagebrush! I still want to capture the dusty

roses smell of wild roses along a mountain path with a little bit of pine or

spruce.
