Why solids vs. roll on vs. alcohol based

Hello,

My only experience with natural perfumes thus far is with several samples of

Aftelier. I noticed the following:

- Alcohol based ones evaporate very quickly and are gone within a couple

hours from my skin

- One of the solids (Muse) lasts very long and diffuses well (my hubby can

smell across the room). The other solid, boronia, goes away after an hour

- Two of the ones are roll-on. I would assume they're alcohol based. They

are really strong and last a very long time. I can only use a little or it's

just too strong for me.

Is this all coincidence? Or is the base and/or packaging type more

appropriate for the particular scent. IE are there some you would only make

as solid or as alcohol or package in roll-on form? Inquiring minds want to

know :).

Thanks, Deepali
