Guest guest
Hi ya all; I've been reading all these 'posts' and you all are talking about various shoe models and makes...am I the only CMTer that wears a Crow boot? Tt's there to give me alot of support for my foot that rolls up on it exterior side. It makes me 2 inches taller, because of the thick sole on the bottom. They (the people that fashioned it), had to add 1 1/2 " to my left boot, (custom made boots) so that I would be even. So now I stand up at a healthy 6' 7 " . I always wanted to be 6' 6 " when I was growing up but only made it to 6' 5 " . Now I am where I want to be, heh heh heh. My Medical advisors won't let me wear soft tennis shoes types, so how come you all can? Dennis
Guest guest
Hi you all...Dave and ; I too have a foot that rolls up on its exterior edge. However, the Medical School (OHSU) Dean of Orthopedics dept. Chrmn...my former Doctor, put me into a CROW WALKER BOOT. And now I don't roll up anymore. It is a useful tool that works good and eliminates the buying of shoes every few months. My Insurance company covered the costs. When I switched Insurance companies, I left the treatment of OHSU and went to the Veterans Medical Center for my medical needs. Their Ortohpedic dept. also suggested my using a CROW WALKER BOOT. So over the past 5 yrs I've had 3 CROW WALKER boots. And that is because of my gaining weight and my leg got larger, I had to get larger boots. But NOT once has my foot rolled up since then. And they have colors too, my 1st was all black; 2nd was all white; and the 3rd is all black...again. I recommend these to any and all of you who may have them same problem as we do...where the foot rolls up on it's edge. Dennis
Guest guest
Hi There Everyone, I can see that we are all very different!! When I did look at those Crow Boots at the net ...Gosh!!! I could never in this life time wear anything like that! Far too heavy for me! I don't have the strengh on my feet and ankles to carry this on, neither a power to put my feet inside this boot. I don't have power on my feet to carry any heavy shoes at all. Everything I buy have to be very light weight leather and even then sometimes it is hard to walk.( the movement of the foot is weaker) Seems that my feet is far too weak for boots and sometimes I just don't know what else to wear in now a days. The problem is that one foot is much weaker than the other and I just can not do the right moviment of walking with this foot unfortunately. It is like if my right foot is almost dead somehow...while walking getting ehxausted in no time... the ankle movement is very weak and the double joint does not help! That is why once I tried to have an operation to see if I could make it better. I wish I could make it better!! Joana
