Guest guest
Hello Everybody, I am hoping that somebody can help me help my brother-in-law. To make a long story short; He fell off a house and shattered his heel among many other injuries. When he was finally able to be up and walking on his own he purchased a new pair of work boots thinking they would protect his feet while he tromped all over his newly purchased land in AZ. Well, due to severe nerve damage he couldn't feel the new boots rubbing on his heel. He ended up with a bad blister/pressure sore that has refused to heal. He has been doctorng for over a year and he still has a whole the size of a dime on the ball of his heel. There is no pain, but it either oozes or forms large, hard calluses wich have to be removed, and then it oozes again. He has given up on doctors and has pretty much resigned himself to bandaging it every day and peeling off bloody socks every night. I have just been getting into soap/lotion making and have been reading alot about essential oils and it has occured to me that maybe the natural way is the way for him to go. A lot of EOs have skin healing, and anti bacterial and antiseptic qualities. I would like to make him a salve or a balm for his foot using essential oils and shea butter, or kokum butter or whatever is best. I was thinking of using bergamot, chamomile, tea tree oil, niaouli, Eucalyptus EO and ??? The thing is I know so little that I am really afraid to mix anyting up for him. I would like something that even if it turns out that it doesn't help, it sure won't hurt him. I am hoping somebody here could come to my rescue. I would be so greatful if somebody could help me out with some suggestions on what EOs and amounts to use. Thank you so much, Sue
