Hello all,

Previous postings have cited a specific type of New Balance shoe that people

really liked. Can you remind me what that is? I am in the market for some

new sneakers.

Thanks,

Hi :

My favourite, which were recommended by an Orthotist are New Balance 925. The

main reason I needed this type of NB was for better balance so I could play a

little golf again without falling over.

We have a nice little shoe store in town and they sent me an email telling me

that a new NB shoe in now available...the NB 926.

Since the NB 925 cost me $184.00 taxes included, I am not in a hurry to try the

926. Also at this time my 925 are still in great shape. These shoes come in

various colours such as beige, brown and black.

I hope this helps you a bit.

Also, not to leave the men twisting thier ankles, I have found the NB 620's to

be good. I have to replace them every 4 months or so after they start to break

down from my feet wanting to roll. But the 1st 4 months are pretty good.

I have bought shoes from nbwexpress for some time. I have been using

MK900. As usual when I find a shoe I like, they discontinue it! The

MK901 looks reasonable, but ...

I like New Balance shoes because the SL-2 last has a narrow heel cup

and the padding around the ankle is soft. The SL-2 last is designed

for a high arched wide foot. That description must sound familiar to a

lot of us!

A note about shoe size -- at least for men. A somewhat hiddden fact is

that the length of a shoe increases as the width increases. For

example: if a 10.5 3E shoe is too narrow, order a 10 4E or a 9.5 5E,

etc. and the fit should be fine.

Well, I don't know about wide feet. I have very high arches and a very narrow

foot (women's size 5AA).

So I don't think that 'wide' is necessarily a CMT characteristic but high arch

certainly is :)

Hello ,

Hate to pass this on, but Zappo's has the 925's for $91. You might want

to add them to your favorites list.

http://www.zappos.com

I searched for 926's there with no results, but they have new styles

available in the coming months. They also offer free shipping and

returns.

I like the NB 620s and also the hikers 865. I have small feet and

wear a kid's size, so I'm not sure if the 865 is available in adults.

I got them at the company store in UT, and found the staff to be VERY

helpful. I wish I had gotten a second pair of the hikers, because I

wear them almost all the time now, since they have a bit more ankle

support.

Dave,

I also seem to have to replace my shoes every few months due to the

same ankle rolling. Not even my AFOs can stop it, by the way I'm new, my name is

and I was just diagnosed this last August, although I always knew I was

different from most.
