Does it clean or > dialate > them? ----------- Hi Mike, In various studies, the herb was shown to lower blood pressure, improve varicose veins and hemorrhoids, reduce anxiety, and even improve memory. Over a 12 month period, research out of England and Italy showed, in a group study, diabetics with neuropathy had improvement of circulation to feet 38% and rate of ankle swelling improved 28%. Diabetics withou neuropathy saw similar gains in circulation and improvement in the rated of swelling. Over the course of study, no reports of adverse side effects were noted. Even from other sources, there are few reported side effects. However, some manufacturers say the herb may cause headache and in rare cases can cause mild allergic reaction. The herb is not recommended for those taking tranquilizers or sedatives or for any with an overactive thyroid. It is also not recommended for pregnant or lactating women. However, I could not find any comment on if it cleans or dilates anything. I'm not sure how it works to improve circulation. Gail
