Guest guest
Although I've been reading the group for a few months, I've never checked in. I appreciate all the help, support, and knowledge that is exchanged. Briefly, I was diagnosed with CMT II by Mayo ville. I'm 65, and apparently I've had it for a long time, just not known it. Because of my athletic activies I've either kept it in check or just not noticed it. I've run many marathons and work out every day. I'm told that helps. My fear is cognitive decline. I'm professor emeritus at Florida State University and have been active as an expert witness for about 20 years. But within the last year, I've experienced difficulties and have had to give up the activity. I've also had to give up flying because of foot placement problems and some confusion about tower and traffic control flight instructions. (I am also afraid I won't pass my next flight physical.) I know many of you are in much worse condition than I, and I am grateful for my many blessings. I will merely watch and read your postings. I have little to add to the expertise and experience I've observed in your posts. Bill Jordan Tallahassee
