Guest guest
I am not sure about split sole shoes - I had something similar and found that if my feet did not " feel connected " then it just was not comfortable. I love Birks. As the perpetual optimistic I am thinking that maybe this cold weather might just go away and that means that it will be time to order some new pairs for the spring and summer. I was thinking of switching to Birks for work. I hate most work shoes. But I found on a trip to visit a friend in Italy a good shoe that is very stable that I like that it stylish, so I have not made the switch yet. For knocking about home I have been using felt slippers from Scandinavia. I need natural fibres, and find the wool of the felt very good for keeping my feet warm. But this winter I bought Ugg boots at Gretchen's suggestion and may invest in some low boots for use as slippers - they pull on and off and are pretty stable. I have high arches and have found that the cut of the boots works with my feet too for pulling on and off (I tried my sister in law's before buying my main pair). Oh - they do look Ugg-ly but they are warm - I now do not take them off when flying as my feet stay cosy! All the best, Donna from a sunny but VERY COLD London (the daffodils are not even out yet!)
