Guest guest
HI everyone: I have a question about headaches. Do any of the CMT kids out there get daytime headaches? Gavin started about 5 weeks ago, for one week it was almost daily (we thought it was part of a flu), but it has kept happening and is sometimes 3 x a week, sometimes less, some more. Is this how problems with the phrenic nerve first manifest? Is he too young to have this happen? We've made an appt with his pediatrician to rule out other causes first...but it's definately making me wonder. He wakes up alot at night, breathes very loudly when sleeping and claims that he 'sleeps and wakes up, sleeps and wakes up' all night' He may just be a light sleeper.... Thanks Sally
Guest guest
Sally, I have 2 kids both with CMT that get headaches. My nephew without CMT also gets headaches. Maybe they just run in our family? I was told that Spencer's brain looked great in an MRI. Both kids get headaches about 3 or 4 times a week. Caffeine and Imitrex help Spencer. For I think she has more of an eye strain headache.
Guest guest
Allergies also give me headaches. They can also cause coughing/breathing issues when they trigger my asthma. I get it more at night (with feather pillows or dust or pollens or molds) because I can be lying right near the trigger. I get to wheezing, coughing, and having trouble sleeping if it's really bad. Anything pollinating right now in your area? Good luck, Lenka
