Guest guest
Hi Donna, Yes, by all means, tell your former Yoga teacher your feelings. As for your friends, if they leave her because of you and this situation, that will certainly send her a 'message'. Your teacher seems to suddenly be struck with some very bad manners. You may also want to speak to the Director of your gym about this. After all, that Yoga teacher is a paid 'professional'. I did yoga for awhile, also pilates, in a class situation. I explained my situation with CMT before hand. The teachers just told me " do what you can, what feels right, etc " . There was never any PUSH for any members of either class to " keep up " with others in any way. Both those classes were of an 'individual nature' with individual attention according to our own personal needs. As for the cell phone in yoga, at my gym,, cell phones must be turned off when a person checks in at the front desk. There is a big sign " Turn your cell phone off before entering " . Prior to this, in one of my pilates classes, two women had their phones on, they rang, they talked. It was upsetting to me and the others who were trying to concentrate on our movements. There is a cell phone etiquette for our gym here. I'm sure there are plenty of other Yoga and Pilates classes around if you want to continue with more understanding teachers. Maybe this IS a good time to change your fitness routine - we all need changes once in awhile. Since Aqua is really my thing, I hope you pursue it. Also wonderful that you and your husband can spend more time together. ~ Gretchen
