Guest guest
They did give us only one shirt and that was after we asked them a couple of times. The tech told us we could use some tight onesies but I just wanted to make sure we had at least one before we left. Thanks for your responses. tte In a message dated 12/10/2007 1:08:04 P.M. Luckily we did not have to pay for them and they give us 6 at a time. Hopefully someone else here will have some info on where you can get them much cheaper than $40. Guest guest
In our experience, that's actually a great price. I paid $75 a piece for them. One thing I did find helpful though, that you could try, is getting your dr to write an Rx for them and then getting insurance to cover the cost of them under durable medical equipment. Try calling your ped to see if you can go that route. HTH, Jen pgboukidis wrote: Our daughter Meredith just received her first brace in Erie last week. They gave us one Knit Rite shirt. Guest guest
Thank you so much . Meredith is 25 lbs, very thin and will be 2 next week. I think they would be perfect. Let me know when you get back in town and I'll give you my info. I really appreciate it! tte In a message dated 12/10/2007 7:23:21 P.M. I have 4 that we are not using, as Matson is scheduled to go back into a cast as the brace did not hold his curve at all. I would be happy to send them to you if they are the correct size for you. I am out of town right now until the 18th of December, so I don't know if there is an actual size on them, but Matson wears 18-24 month clothing right now, is 24lbs, tall for his age (21 months)and they fit him well. Does this sound like they would work for you? Let me know and as soon as I am back home I will get them out to you! Guest guest
No problem at all, if I remember correctly we have one that he wore for a couple of days while we tried the brace out and then the 4 others are brand new, never worn. We will be back home late on the 18th, email me your address and I will get them out to you the next day. It will be nice to have more than one for you....And it sounds like the Meredith and Matson are almost exactly the same size! You can email me privately at: mattnsteph4nier@... We live in Las Vegas, Nevada so that is where they will be coming to you from. Guest guest
Tasha - I didn't notice any stains in the ones you sent. I am assuming the stains you are talking about are the color or sweat or urine? It could be sweat stains, or something they use in the diapers. Who knows. I guess I wouldn't worry about the stains as much as I would be watching his skin for rash, dryness or irritation. Lexi was only in diapers for a very short time after she was braced. I put potty training in overdrive once we got into braces. I know your guys are still a little young still for that though. Lexi's shirts now have some staining to them, but more I think from just wear and tear and possibly sweating even though the material is excellent at wicking the moisture, you can't stop it altogether. Sorry not of much help. Also, a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and your family =) Stay warm up there - the cold air finally hit us this evening and we are LOVING IT!!!! Tracey Brace shirts First and most importantly MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone. This is really not a big deal, but I am just curious. All of 's brace shirts are stained from the coloring on his diapers. Do any of you have that problem? and Tracey, you may have noticed the stains in the ones I sent you. It may just be the diapers we use. We use Huggies. I just got a new box and it is even a brighter colored stain. Could it be that he is sweating a lot and that is making it wet which is staining the brace shirt? Anyway like I said it is no big deal I was just curious. Enjoy your holidays everyone.
