Guest guest
Gretchen, Thanks for writing back. Yes, I was wearing AFOs while I was cleaning. I know I overdid it bigtime. It's just hard to believe that I can't even be on my feet for 2 hours anymore. Yes, I was planning on working part time during fostercare because we need the money. I might be able to get some help cleaning from some ladies from church. Anyways, thanks for the response. Jen
Guest guest
Jen, I don't have kids, but I work with 13 elementary schools so I guess I have some experience with children. If 2 hours is too long then work 1 hour, watch a Law and Order on the tube and do the 2nd hour. If watching Law and Order interferes with the work ethic slammed into our generation, clean the silver while sitting down. Or do 30 minute stints. Frustration occurs when we weigh what we can do now against what we could do 5 years ago. I was a management consultant before 9/11 and CMT ended my traveling ways. Often I told clients, " It is what it is. Plan for it. " Things are seldom what we want, nor are they what they should be. Understand limitations and work toward the best outcome using whatever tools you have. Me, I often do more than I should and pay for it the next day. Do I learn from this? Sometimes, but then I have the dreaded Y chromosome that interferes with learning. You are lucky -- 2 X chromosomes to work with! -- Larry P.S. I was born and lived a great deal of my life in Il.
