Guest guest
Embry has knots on her lymphnodes. There is one on the back of her head, behind her ear and the sides of her neck. The doctor gave her antibiotics and if they don't go away which they haven't gotten any smaller then they will do blood work. I am so worried. My poor baby she has so much to deal with already and i worry about how things are going to be for her. She has the scoliosis the eye problems and now this. Is there anything that could be there that they are missing that could relate all these things??? Please if anyone knows don't hold back let me know. Guest guest
Hi Jeanna, Ok, so my son had neuroblastoma so I'm always checking his lymph nodes. MY DOCTORS say that swollen lymph nodes (little ones behind the ear or on the back of the head) are NORMAL at this age (16 months). My pediatrician assures me of this, completely. My guess is that it's probably related to teething, etc. So, I really don't think you have anything to worry about. My son is in remission, as verified by MRI and all the tests...so I know he's clear. My oncologist gave me antibiotics too, but my pediatrician said that he wouldn't even have done that because it's normal. It can't hurt to have tests to check and follow the doctor's orders, but I'm just giving you the information from my experience. Sure, there are lots of things it 'could' be, but it's likely normal. Here is some more info from Dr. Greene: http://www.drgreene.com/21_783.html I hope this helps. > > Embry has knots on her lymphnodes. Guest guest
I know I my lymph nodes have become enlarged after being sick. Has she had any illnesses recently? With the combination of eye problems and scoliosis, has she been tested for anything like Marfans? Noelle (12-2-01) Ian (8-15-04) What could it mean???? Embry has knots on her lymphnodes.
