Guest guest
Hello ers, It now seems my editor gets the point on using sensitivity language related to her description of persons with CMT. Read the latest comments below ~ Gretchen " Thanks for the input. I see your point; if you don't like any of the editorial changes that I make or feel that they misrepresent you as a writer, go ahead and change them back to something that works for you. I am here as an editor—period—and I don't have any real personal stake in these pieces or any connection to the CMT community other than that I am helping out an old friend by trying to make the website the best it can be, so by all means, delete or change anything you find offensive or troubling. I come to these pieces wearing my editor's hat and using my own sensibilities, so I'll let you make the call regarding writing that may be seen as insensitive. You've never met me, but I'm one of those " call it like I see it people " so I may not have the necessary sensitivity chip required to make the right call in some instances.
