Question about purifying glycerine

Hi folks! I was offered 100 lbs of glycerine today for free. The only

problem is that it is a byproduct of the biodiesel making process. The oil was

from a local fish fry resteraunt. Does anyone on this list have any knowledge

or

experience with glycerin produced this way? The glycerine has sort of a

fried food smell to it and a small amount of sodium hydroxide. If anyone has

any

experience with this situation, please write in. I don't want to get 100 lbs

of glycerine that I can't use, but I also don't want to give up 100 lbs of

glycerine for free if I can use it. Thanks in advance!
