Bobbie,

Yes, CMT Type 2 is an axonal neuropathy. Axonal refers to what's inside

the nerve - as opposed to demylenating neuropathy, which is more what

CMT Type 1 is about, where the myelin wrapping around the nerve is

affected.

Besides axonal CMT, there are other " axonal neuropathies " , also immune related

ones that are different than CMT.
