hyper-extended knees

Hi Jimmy, Regarding the extended knees, I have been dealing with my knees

hyper-extending since 1990. I have tried many AFO's throughout the years to

only find that they have caused poor walking habits, poor circulation, and pain.

I have recently found Helios Braces made by Mitch in Las Vegas and only wish I

could have found him years ago.

I started using a scooter in 1996. I used the scooter only for conventions,

airports, and long distances. The rest of the time, I just used crutches....

because of all the issues of the AFO's. In 2004, I started using a power

wheelchair and crutches. This brought on alot of weakness to my legs because of

not walking enough and using the muscles. So, it's going to take a while to

build back muscle and walk with the Helios Braces. I have a physical therapist

that comes three times a week to practice walking and to build back my muscle

tone. We already have seen an improvement within the last two weeks. I also

work out in the pool three times a week. I hope you have a chance to check out

the Helios Braces, because of all the years I have had AFO's... I have had

nothing but problems with hyper-extension, ankles rolling over, and walking.

Good Luck to you!

Kay
