Hello,

My name is and I am an RN. Usually, the prozac is taken in the morning,

unless otherwise ordered.

starting meds

Hi, everyone --

I forgot to ask our dr. this ...

Tomorrow, we will give Em her first dose of Prozac (the dr. is

starting her on a M/W/F schedule). Is there a particular time of

day that is best to give the med, when one is taking only one dose a

day?

Thanks,

Hi , sorry for the late reply, we've given meds both in the morning and in

the evening. The decision was made either to minimize side effects (Prozac

caused insomnia, so we gave that in the morning) or capitalize on them (Luvox

made my daughter sleepy, so we gave that before bedtime.)

Good luck,

Kathy R. in Indiana
