Hi , just a quick post as I am travelling and just home for a few hours

(a good night's sleep and to re-pack the bags!)

I read your post about Adam and it made me think of one of my best friends.

Last year we think she had a drink spiked when she was out for her birthday.

She felt odd and was heading to the bathroom, and passed out mid step (this

was after only two glasses of wine, so for those of you who wonder if she

was drinking too much, the answer is no). She wound up landing on her two

front teeth, shattering them breaking the roots going clear through her lip

- all in all not pretty!

Well, she had a great way of looking at this. First, money can fix it.

Second, at least it wasn't her nose - nose breaks are permanent and

sometimes do not heal well so you can always see that something happened.

Teeth on the other hand - they can be fixed. Her attitude was great, and I

think Adam (although as he is a boy he may not think the same way about

broken noses) is a lucky guy and hopefully my little story will give you all

something to laugh at - I did, it is amazing what relentless optimism can do

-- I should have been the one to make my friend laugh when this happened,

but she turned the situation around herself!
