Guest guest
Diane, I had cortezone injections (2) for a pinched nerve in my right foot in the 80's. The pain went away and wearing larger (wider) shoes helped very much. No problems to this day. Regarding your back problems, I had the same. It was about a 2 year process for me to find the right doc, exhaust all non-surgical treatments, then beg Dr. Hutchinson for surgery. Had I known what a positive experience it would have been, I would have opted for surgery before, but fortunately, he treated me conservatively until surgery was MY choice. I also had some epidural steroid injections and experimental injections of Embrel. I had a fusion, and am coming up on my 4 year anniversary from surgery date and have to admit, I am in great shape. No pain, no other back problems, I am very active, bending, moving, etc. ~ Gretchen
