Guest guest
i did aquatic therapy several times after some of joint replacements, as well as land based therapy. it feels great and its 100 times easier becuase you are so close to being weightless. like, when you have to to do a leg lift, you arent lifting the entire weight of your leg so you its easier to lift it further and hold it there longer. plus, you start off doing the movements slowly and its actually like the water is helping to guide you, the faster you move...the more resistance. i really liked it and think it did wonders for range of motion. just for thought, brandy _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com

Guest guest
Tally has water therapy along with once a month land based therapy. He loves being in the water. It does help losen him up a great deal. We are even having his birthday party at the Y where there's a warm pool so that if, by chance, he's having an off day, he'll be able to participate fully in his pary. He has never done the water aerobics but when he grows a little bit more and can reach the bottom without a water wave going above his nose, then we shall see. kathy
Guest guest
Hi Gretchen, everyone - Well a blessing of the mean yoga teacher saga I went through has been to start to go to my favourite classes at the gym I have neglected over the last year and a half. I have been going to the gym for minor weight lifting on my quadriceps and have been doing the treadmill and other cardio activity. And today, for the first time in ages, I did aqua - I forgot how much I loved it - the fact that it is exercise too is just an added bonus! Thanks again everyone for your support - and thanks Gretchen for always encouraging all of us to try aqua! Have a great Sunday, from a gray and rainy London, Donna
