Guest guest
Sorry to hear that. Ian stayed at 10 degrees for about 6 months and then we got more correction just when we thought he would stay at 10. We actually got some good correction in one of his waterproof casts, so maybe she just didn't have a big growth spurt during that time. Noelle (12-2-01) Ian (8-15-04) Geneva Hi everyone I'm sad to say geneva will be in another cast she didn't change fromm last time we could of got the brace for a 2 month trial but I didn't do it I'm afaird she would go in a worse direction. I wounder if it was the water proof cast? I put it back on her than thought of that. Dr. said that some curves just stay like she might stay at 12 or 13. I just want her to get the maxium correction. Guest guest
I know how you feel............... has been at 19 or 20 for a good while now. I am in hopes that this last cast(he will get his brace Tuesday, 11th)will have given him a little more correction. So Geneva is in another cast? When will you go back? Guest guest
yes she got her 4th cast today. i was upset but i want to do whats best for her. dr. sanders said she could have a 2 month trial w/ the brace but im afaird to do it so i just said to cast her and we'll see what happens. we go back to erie on oct. 23rd and its the same thing just wait and see if she gets any more corretion. she got the water proof cast again too, at least she can take baths! the dr said she has a different curve because its to the right instead of the left which he said supposed to be how everyone elses is ( to the left) but at any rate she did well and is as happy as could be, the cast upsets me more than her!! Guest guest
thanks that made me feel better! i was hoping that i didnt make a mistake by putting the waterproof cast on. well we just have to wait and see what happens. she comes back 10/23. she looks like she grew but i guess it didnt do anything. yesterday one of the dr's looked at her and made her bend over and she had a little rib hump, as soon as we saw that i thought she would get another cast but didnt want to say it out loud!! Guest guest
also has a right curve. Are right curves suppose to be harder to achieve a lower number? Is that what Dr. meant? Guest guest
I think he may have meant that most curves are usually to the left if I had to guess. Guest guest
I'm not sure he just said that her curve was " different " because it was a right side curve. I never asked about right or left or rdv or what ever that is I was always told her curve is at....... But I said oh geneva u have a different curve and that's when he said its just most curves are to the left Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile Re: Geneva also has a right curve.
