Guest guest
I haven't worked since 1996. I worked from 1990-1996. I paid into ssi the whole time. I'm wondering if I apply will I be denied because of my work history. I have been searching and searching on line tonight to see if I could be eligible. Considering I have had CMT all along, even though I was just diagnosised, so maybe the " start of my disability " wouldn't be now. I know that sounds confusing but I don't want to keep looking into it if there is no point. Thanks, MomOfMany
Guest guest
When I applied for ssdi, I was told that i had to have worked and paid into social security within the last 3 years to qualify. If I didn't I may qualify for SSI which was significantly less. I am not sure if rules are the same in each state or not. Go and check into it or maybe get a part time job for a month then quit. At least you would have paid into it and may then qualify. Check into things,

Every CMT case is different as far as severity but it is a disability.
