Guest guest
Well, Dr. , you have opened up a whole new area of study for me. When you say " body chemistry " what do you mean? I would imagine it is a vast topic. Ph? Thanks, Donna p.s. I was delightful to adjust. Ha ha ha. I was in no way difficult. . . Just kidding. I know what you mean. Smile -----Original Message----- Donna, Min-Col is a good product. I've heard that body chemistry should be close to what you want when you start it as it " sets " the readings. However, I may start it myself after your personal recommendation. By the way, small boned women sometimes can be very difficult to adjust. Muscle work is good to relax before the treatment. Also, hot packs. jp
Guest guest
I have taken Min-Col for over 7 years now - and LOVE it. That is actually what it is called - the *brand* (manufacturer) is Daily Mfg. Their website is http://daily-mfg.com A person cannot buy direct from them though - you have to go through a health food store. I started it when I became pregnant, I went to see my nutritionalist - he does a spit and a urine test, and then tells you what your body is lacking. He had me take 4 Min-Col's 3 x's a day while pregnant and full time nursing. This was ALL I took - no prenatal pills, no iron pills, nothing else. My Dr. pricked my finger each month - as she was worried me being vegetarian, and not taking the *usual* pre-natal vitamins. All my stats were EXCELLENT the whole time. I NEVER had ANY of the awful pregnancy symptoms people talk about - no nausea, mood swings, fatigue etc. I also delivered 3 of my babies COMPLETELY natural - no drugs, and no cutting! ) When I would slow down nursing, I would slow down on the Min-Col also. I would cut down 1/week. Not pregnant or nursing, I still take 2-4 daily. I also give my children each 2 per day, and my 1 yr old, I open one up and mix it in applesauce for him ) All my kids 14,7,5,1 - noone has EVER had a cavity - (including me) delk@... Guest guest
Hi Laurie, The min col I mentioned is made by Holistic Labs in Tampa Florida. It sounds like it is not the same product. Is your min col just calcium phosphate from dinosaurs bones. I have heard of some other min col products that were totally different. Same name, different product. Guest guest
JP, Are you a Chiropractor? If so, maybe you are someone else could tell me how to go about finding a good one. I was told by the man that did the saliva, urine testing on me Monday, that I needed to seek one out. I had the Reams testing done. They are taking care of the nutrition part. I'm not in any pain but he said a well aligned person will respond better to the nutritional part. Guest guest
I was thinking of the perfect readings of the the Reams urine and saliva test, actually the pH's, 6.4/6.4. Min Col tends to lock in pH. jp Well, Dr. , you have opened up a whole new area of study for me. When you say " body chemistry " what do you mean? I would imagine it is a vast topic. Ph? Guest guest
Edith, You should call and get as much information on what they do as you can. If you want a certain type of adjustment, like full spine done by hand, you should see if he/she does that. If you want therapy, find out if they do it. Muscle work, nutrition, acupuncture, the same. Also, depending on whether you have insurance or not, you should get a ball-park figure on what the visits will cost you. One fellow couldn't wait a day to see us so he went in down the street and it cost him over $500 for the first visit. At our office it would have been $91. Don't just stumble into any office. Don't pick the ones with the biggest yellow-page ads. Who pays for the ad? - you do. Some are there to help, some are there to make sure you help pay for their new house or SUV. We all have to pay our bills. I'm in a better shape because I have two offices and a house paid off, so right now, we don't have to charge as much as the others around here. The chiropractor that may help you might not have the best office in town or the best location. Remember, you are paying for all the extras. Having said that, you may still find the greediest SOB in the most humble office. Be careful. My wife and I do muscle techniques, several different kinds of adjusting, different therapies, acupuncture, and nutrition. Most chiropractors, at least around here, don't do all those. If they are good and help you, that's what counts. No matter what you are told, no chiropractor has x-ray fingers. Get an x-ray of your trouble spot so he will know how to adjust you. I've seen too many horror stories by chiros who don't x-ray. Don't expect miracles. You should be treated your first visit and feel better, but if you have a major problem, it wont be corrected overnight. Several weeks and maybe months may be needed with tune-up treatments later. Be wary though if a chiropractor immediately puts you on a schedule stretching out for months. If you have to see him more than ten times the first month, he's probably not your best choice. We get rapid results at our office, so a lot of treatments are not necessarily the best choice. By the second month, you should be on no more than 2 a week unless you are in bad shape. Sometimes 6 to 12 treatments total are all a person needs. We have some patients that only come in when they are " dying, " and I dread seeing them because they are a drain on my energy. We have a sign up in our door. " Everyone brings joy to this office. Some when they enter. Others when they leave. " I had been in business for ten years before I put that up, but it is the truth. People can laugh at it or be offended. I don't care. How much you are seen depends upon your condition. Since you are not in a lot of pain, don't let him put you on an every day schedule. After you are better, think of occasional treatments to maintain your progress. Good luck, and I hope you have a pleasant experience. jp JP, Are you a Chiropractor? Guest guest
Laurie, I recently ordered from Daily and I am not a distributor or anything. I just called their order line and ordered Mincol. Here is the # 1- I purchased a bottle of 250 for around $23 or $24. They are very nice people to deal with.
