Guest guest
I have Sjogrens along with a host of other diseases and syndromes, many of which are rare. Hence, the signing of my name as Empress of CUS or Chronically Unique Syndrome. It's a term I made up so that I don't need to list all the diseases out, I just say I am the Empress of Chronically Unique Syndrome. Because all my doctors say I have more " issues " than any " one " person they know of, I decided that made me the " Empress " of the Chronically Unique Syndrome. LOL It is secondary to my Stills. I take Evoxac (there are others but I have a very rare form of pigment glaucoma and can't take the others) and use Systane eye drops, and Ocean nasal spray. There is also a toothpaste for dry mouth but I am allergic to flouride and chemicals so I can't use it. Here are some great web links on the topic and they cover just about anything you want to know about Sjogrens. http://www.sjogrens.org/ The Sjogrens Syndrome Foundation and support site http://www.medicinenet.com/sjogrens_syndrome/article.htm What is Sjogrens? Guest guest
The babies are now 3 and still so " true identical " that most people, even family can't tell them apart. Me - Grammy (aka Ginga) can tell them apart from front and from back but the side view still gets me but that's okay, it gets Mommy and the other Nanna too. LOL I don't know if the doctor ever did a test for the sjogrens. He didn't have to do the tissue test but I don't think he did a blood test. I will ask and see when I go back in about 3 weeks. I have dry eyes, nose, mouth and swollen glands. I also don't sweat unless my blood sugar is low (about 65 or lower. We did a test and I sat in a sauna several times with the heat at 120 degrees F or higher for 20 minutes and came our dry as an old bone.
