Guest guest
Yes Ma'am! : ) I'll never tell him, but I had a HUGE crush on Mr. Shrock when I was in Jr. High, as did most of the girls in class. He's still cute but VERY married. Besides, I woldn't want to marry a guy whose first name is MISTER! I don't know why it bugs the heck out of me to go to the Dr. about my toe.... anyway, thanks for the umphhh, . Letting her fingers do the walking.... Guest guest
Hi Sounds pretty similar to mine except it is the right big toe. I have RA in my feet but luckily ive only been diagnosed a year and whilst sometimes its hell there is no damage as of yet - luckily. My big toe on the right causes me concern as your does it just doesnt bend very well and its hard to explain this to anyone correctly. I have an appt with my rheumy next week and am going to mention it to him. I hope you have some luck in the finding the cause and its nothing too serious sussann andra <spine_97@...> wrote: I've been skimming several weeks of posts today. I've been reading about trigger fingers and also talk about numbness and tingling in the foot...it made me think, maybe someone out there can help solve my latest medical mystery...it has stumped my rheumy, two podiatrists and a physio therapist!...I'm sure you guys are all smarter anyway, so here goes... Yes, I have RA in my feet, but have little bone/joint damage there and the RA is under reasonable control right now...but I've had to quit walking and also got modified duties at work...because my left big toe doesn't bend properly...just a little bit and it jams everytime I take a step and causes pain all the way down the inside of my left foot. I used to walk a lot, since I had to quit swimming, now i can't walk. All agree that it doesn't seem to be anything to do with the joint...it just doesn't bend very well...so maybe a tendon or ligament that contracted because of all the years of RA. Anyone else have anything similar. I have an appointment with a GP who specializes in feet and with an orthopedic surgeon...but I'm a bit frustruated. Any thoughts? Guest guest
Thanks for your reply...at least I'm not alone. I hate it when they tell me I have something weird no one ever gets...they act like it's something I should be proud of...but if they don't know what it is, there's no proven treatment!!! Maybe your rheumy will be more helpful. Please let me know what he says as I see another foot guy later this month and it might help!. Lexi > I've been skimming several weeks of posts today. Guest guest
My left big toe also does not bend. and it hurts. The 3 smaller toes on left used to hurt terribly, as a unit, but then one day after severe prolonged pain, they went numb and I no longer can control moving them. The 2nd toe on right has bone erosion at the tip and it looks like I stuck a maraschino cherry on the tip of it. I have 2 fingers with DU putrynes (sp) contractures on left and trigger finger on the right. I have a ridge across the top of both hands near the wrist that is hard an rigid, solid. AT the base of both index fingers in the knuckle in the op of my hand, they are both now deformed and the middle finger ones are doing the same. My wrists and fingers are very weak - drives me nuts. My elbows are now becoming involved and my ankles on occasion, as well. Becuz my writs and fingers are so bad, I cannot use a cane or a crutch, so sometimes I use a motorized scooter. I never realized how much a toe or finger could hurt. My rheumy blames it all on RA, I take only mtx and ibuprofen, tho. I use splints on occasion and aspercreme and ice. - with warm-hot baths in the mornings. - In , " andra " <spine_97@y...> wrote: > Thanks for your reply...at least I'm not alone. Guest guest
, My toes have hurt (all 10 of them) off and on since childhood, same with my feet. The hurting I feel I describe as a " burning " feeling. I do not have drop foot in either foot. When my toes/feet hurt, and this is generally a after being on my feet all day, but has happened in aquatics sometimes - I use a number of " tools " - Biofreeze, massage, rest, change shoes, pour cold water on them, ice packs, etc. The " burning " comes and goes, there is no real pattern, and by now I have pretty much learned to live with it. Cool lotions also help too. ~ Gretchen
Guest guest
My toes have a sharp burning pain most of the time. What is really strange is I could cut a toe off and never feel it yet inside the toe the nerve pain is horrible. For me as the nerves in my toes died the pain moved up in my foot. I use Biofreeze, cool water, ice and a good foot massage from my spouse sure feels good too. Cathleen in Arkansas
