Guest guest
My doctor (actually her assistant) is letting me draft a letter explaining why I need to stop working and what essential job functions I am unable to perform. My company (and insurance) requires this information for long-term disability/FMLA. Of course, the doctor will review the letter and make adjustments if necessary but I will at least be able to correctly word the letter so that it may have a better chance at helping me get through the disability application. Probably the assistant is too lazy to do it herself , but her comment was that I know better what information my company needs. Most doctors are a little tyrannical about these things so I glad that mine isn't.
