Hi Gang:

Just thought I'd share my most recent experiences with doctors,

surgeries and CMT. Throughout the years with all the major(ankle

fusion) and minor(bone removal in 3 toes) surgeries I have had, I have

always been told that due to my CMT physical therapy would be a waste

of time for me.

Well, alas, I had a torn miniscus and ended up having surgery. This dr

prescribed 6 weeks of PT for me. I am now finished with week #3 and I feel

better than I have in years! The young lady who is my therapist has really

talked with me and listened to me about the CMT and how it makes me feel.

She has gone out of her way to not only rehab my knee but to help me develop an

exercise program designed exclusively for me - making adjustments as I get

stronger or cutting back when it is more than I can handle. I am really going

to hate it when the six weeks are over.

I wish I could have a prescription for PT for the rest of my life. But, instead

I will be determined to find a gym and hopefully someone who will work with me

as well as this very special PT has. Just wanted to share some good news. Have

a great week-end.
