I know that for me with working full time, doing all the house and yardwork and doing things with friends the only time I can be sure and get it in is in the mornings before work! I got into the habit once DD was born - before I used to workout after work (DH used to work late and we often didn't sit down to dinner until close to 9 - but that has all changed). I think in some ways my "performance" would be better later in the day - more awake, less stiff - but I also know I wouldn't get it done if I waited until later in the day or evening. I also like that when I'm done I can shower for the day, get dressed, and call it "good". It also does help me to get moving in the morning.
