Buddy so good to see you posting again. Travel it's all depends on the person and their medical problems. It is always best to keep as active as possible and enjoy life. It is best to let Dr's know get their recommendations let them know you are leaving and for how long even to where if possible and get all Rx's filled for that length of time beforehand and bring it with you. A person can run into problems getting Rx's filled out of the area. That way if problems come up people need to be seen in an out of area ER and their Dr's called they are already aware of it and expecting a call

from out of the area or state and react quickly. Also bring an info sheet and I still carry 1 on me at all times - Dx's - symptoms - Rx's - Dr's and relatives phone #'s - insurance and personal info etc..... I had asked those same questions in cirrhosis stages and when listed was told it was ok or told not good to go too far and have any Dr's call if I ran into trouble. I also asked them even when driving around locally what would happen if I got into an auto accident or received a blunt trauma

blow to abdomen since my liver was in bad shape and chances for bleeding more. I was told to call and even get any blows even small ones to my abdomen checked out and for signs of bleeding and if serious tell them my stage and grade 1st to check for rupture or bleeding out and call my Dr's immediately. In late stages I always made sure I knew where all major hospitals and full service ER's where when I was traveling and at each stop and where air medic flights where and how close if needed. The pressurized cabins and for long flights can be a problem for some people because of our own problems with blood circulation and pressures with cirrhosis

stages and sitting for long periods of time knees bent in planes or in a car for more bad circulation clots and in the legs too. Yep it sounds like a lot and to much effort and work but got to remember our health comes first and it can be done. Now being post transplant and progressing I still need to do and watch all these things but I travel pace myself and have a hell of a good time. All The Best. What about driving ?Do you need to have a medical center where you are heading to protect you from

unusual occurances ?What safe gaurds does one require to protect ones self ?Or should one just stay around home all the time ?I love for relaxation to do some gambling at an Indian Casino but its out in the boonies.I really don't know the effects of travel on a persons condition. Finally what about during TX ?
