Guest guest
I started with a cardio off of Exercisetv, but about 10 minutes into it, it started into high impact, which I can't do. So I switched to a 30 minute Pilates strength workout instead. I'm about 2 weeks into these exercise videos -- before, I just did the treadmill alone. But I needed something when my treadmill got stuck in low, so I started this. I see a big difference! And I think I can continue these types of exercises as long as I can find ones that fit me. At my age (52) and with a back injury, I worry about more injuries. My brain tells me that strengthening the muscles around the joints will help protect them, but I'm just not sure about how much is enough or how much is too much. Any one willing to discuss injury prevention? I'd like to learn more. Pointing me to books or articles would help, too. Googling gets a flood of stuff that I'm not sure is relevant or not.
