Guest guest
I had no idea that I had CMT until last year, so I never chose a career based on my condition but rather focused on what I was good at doing and what I enjoyed. Today I am a commercial negotiator for a major oil company, spending my time in planes and meeting rooms all over the world, with all different types of people working on projects that are complex and always a challenge. Although I get tired, nothing is beyond the realm of possibility and I use the plane time to sleep and also like good hotel beds! There is not a limit as far as I can see right now, although in the future I will try to slow down as even for a " normal " person the pace of the job can be a bit much! And when I do get a chance to be at home, there is nothing more that I like than an easy day at work, a quick trip to the gym, and an early evening at home with my husband! It is all a matter of how you manage things - for example I just do not do cleaning any more and have hired a cleaner, as it tires me out and frankly I would rather focus my time doing stuff that releases stress and makes me happy. Not sure this is an answer, but good luck to you and your nephew. Donna from London
