Guest guest Posted July 28, 2010 Report Share Posted July 28, 2010 Hi Everyone, Today was FitPrime Pump w/ Heidi Tanner. I'm enjoying these workouts and at least my motivation is returning. A note: while I liked Montenegro Method - in the future, I need to add more aggressive strength training to those programs. I felt like I lost a bit of strength in doing them, although, I do feel I gained endurance. So, I guess it is a matter of focus and it is ok to switch focuses now and again. I can also tell that I have lost strength by not keeping up w/ my regular push-up practice. Oh well - will get back on track w/ that in the fall! I also have been neglecting my stretches and my good posture habits. My back has been feeling pretty good, so as a result I think I have "forgotten" the importance of using good posture in daily life and in doing some regular stretches. As a result, the last few days my lower back has been tight again. It dawned on me when leaning forward to get something that I should be squatting and keeping my back aligned and, then it dawned on me that I haven't been doing my hip flexor stretching and, sure enough, they are super tight. So, back to regular stretching and better awareness of my posture/movements throughout the day. It is hard to remember when everything is feeling good, but you sure remember quickly once something starts buggin' you again.
