Guest guest
Hi , Your 'contact' person is either a relative, or can also be your spouse, as long as that person can offer information about you and your activites of daily living (ADL) and is willing to answer the paperwork, and/or talk on the phone with an SSA representative. In cases where the claimant (person filing for SSDI benefits)happens to have a mental impairment, the 'contact person' is crucial, since they most likely will be designated as " representative payee " - meaning the disabled person's benefits will be sent to them, to manage the $. ~ Gretchen
