Mandi-

I have had so many problems with my periods. When I first got out of the

hospital I didn't have a period for almost a year. Not that I wanted to have a

period becuz they are so inconvenient, but I was concerned becuz I was only 26

and the normal is to have a period. Well, I finally go it back, (yeah!! NOT) and

dang it came back full force. And keeps getting worse as the years go on. Now I

too have it way to often then normal. I have it about 2 weeks out of the month

and just when I think that I am in the free and clear... I start spotting like I

am starting again. I just went in for my OBGYN yearly pap and she scheduled me

for an ultrasound. When she was done doing my Pap and I was describing to her my

concerns, I stood up and blood started pouring out of me. It was scary, I didn't

have any pain but I thought I was having pain when I saw the blood. My OBGYN is

thinking that it could be fibro's (cyst) I have had these in the past. But I am

scheduled to

have my Ultrasound this week.

I am kinda freaking out. But anyway, I wasn't responding to your post to tell

you all about me (LOL) but I just wanted you to know that you aren't alone. I

wonder if all the meds we are on have anything to do with our periods being all

messed up. I am on Prednisone 9mg and I have been on Prednisone for 7 years

never getting lower then 4mg. And I have just recently taken myself off MTX. I

have been off of it for almost a year this June.

I hope that you are having a painfree day.

Love and Support,

Keri in CA
