Guest guest
Hi Ya Bill So glad you posted and we are here to support you all the way. Buddy being 64 isn't old with the HCV population becoming older every day. It is scary and stressful having Hep C and being on tx. Most of us have been there. Starting anti depressants is the usual course of tx before staring HCV tx. It is overwhelming at times but we need to not stress out about things especially about or while on tx. We were just talking about this in chat last night with members on tx. We need to stay in control and as much as possible on tx because it can be very rough on our emotions and us. Riba Rage with more confusion can poke it's head out before we realize it. Some Dr's are prescribing tx or tx again for pt's in some cirrhosis stages. It is thought even if a person does not clear on tx in late stages some pt's do receive some benefits from tx. It can slow up or improve inflammation or fibrosis complications or stages with some pt's improving stage and grade by bx. It can also slow up the cycle of progression and for a while. Each HCV pt their medical case and medical history if different with medical care and tx or not tailored to each one of us. Yes sides and complications can happen while on tx but your Dr's will probably watch you very closely. Just take it 1 step and 1 day at a time and we just deal with it all the best ways possible. Support from others that have been there or on tx and here with you now is a big help and comfort. Any questions or concerns just let us know. Also let us know when you start tx your 1st shot date and keep us regularly updated about you. All The Best To You.
