Guest guest
I saw some of the post regarding how weather affects some people, but was wondering if any one's body acts like mine does. In the summer, the hotter & more humid the better for me. If it cools down rapidly, such as a wicked cold front or even a strong rain my headaches intensify greatly and my body starts to hurt. I'll live with that. But in the late fall, winter and early to mid spring I suffer greatly. My headaches go off the charts and last for weeks at a time. My joints hurt so bad at night that they wake me up constantly, although they do this in the summer the pain isn't as bad. My back, which feels alright in the summer since I had the morphine pump implant, scream in pain the colder it gets. I could go on & on, but why bore anyone. Anyone else feel the same? What really blows my mind is that 2 years ago I was in South Carolina in late October. I felt good, the weather was fine. Out of the blue the weather took a wicked turn and cooled down about 25 degrees in a day. I thought being further south would help, or at least diminish the degree to how bad I'd feel. Man was I wrong.....it took a ton of " intestinal fortitude " to keep from visiting another out of state resort, and I still don't know how I was able to drive all the way home. On my way down I covered 720 miles in just over 10 hours (I like to " jam " on the highway...just give me a car that will run between 85-105 (conditions permitting) without shaking, wandering, making noise or overheating and I'll get you there pretty damn fast) and the trip home took 34 hours as I had to keep pulling off of the road due to double vision (common with my headaches) or outright agonizing pain. It made the trip seem horrible in hindsight. Sorry for drifting.......that's just me at times. Kirk -- The only things that don't suck in life are the things that should!!!
